I review products that I receive from subscription boxes in the mail such as Birchbox and ipsy. I love the idea of trying something before I buy it.

So today I will be reviewing the water based luminizer called liquid gossamer by Jelly Pong Pong cosmetics. I got this one inside my ipsy subscription. You can get this luminizer on Amazon or you can get it at ipsy.

First the scent is amazing. It has a vanilla scent that is very pleasing. I use this product under my powder and over my foundation. I usually will only apply it on the cheeks with a foundation brush. It gives me a really pretty glow from within look.

It’s a lightweight water based lotion that goes on smoothly. It’s free of mineral oil and has no chemicals like Parabens.

It’s more moisturizing than it is creamy but I kind of like that because it seems to sink into my skin instead of just sit on top of the skin.

The color of the lotion is a very light shimmery beige so it blends with my skin. I am of Italian/Irish decent so my skin is light but with a little bit of an olive undertone. I usually pick light beige foundation when I choose foundation. Just to give you an idea. But this is not a foundation it’s just a lightweight tinted moisturizer with a little bit of a glow.

I have never tried this lotion alone with no foundation but I bet you could do that because it’s not too shimmery, it’s very subtle. So give it a try alone without your foundation and let me know what you think.

I would recommend this product because it’s not only natural and free of chemicals but it is lightweight, moisturizing, luminizing and it is a nice addition to your foundation to give it an extra glow.
